The place on Bonin Road
The casino stands on the former Sudbury Downs racetrack site in Chelmsford, a community of the City of Greater Sudbury. It opened on November 26, 1999, as OLG Slots at Sudbury Downs. The last day of live harness racing was October 30, 2013. The 2014 season was cancelled, and no racing has run since. Gateway Casinos & Entertainment took over day-to-day operation in May 2017.

Guests must be 19 or older with valid government-issued photo ID. Anyone 21 or younger must also bring a second piece of identification with their name. People who are trespassed or self-excluded from this or any Ontario gaming property may not visit.
